The story behind every stitch.

How a quiet love of fabric in a Taupō home became Molly & Moo Quilts.

Molly & Moo is a small, one-woman quilting studio. There is no team, no factory, no shortcuts. Just one pair of hands, a sewing machine, and shelves of fabric chosen with care.

It started, like a lot of these things, with a baby in the family and a desire to make something that would actually get used. That first cot quilt led to another, and another, until friends began to notice and ask if they could buy one for their own. What was a hobby quietly turned into something more.

Every quilt is designed from scratch, often inspired by a piece of fabric that catches the eye. From there it's a slow process of cutting, piecing, layering, quilting, and binding, and a single quilt can take many evenings to finish. That's part of the point. Quilts are not made fast. They are made well.

Alongside the larger quilts, the studio makes smaller handmade pieces, bookmarks, coasters, fabric books, things that are lovely to give and lovely to receive. They use the same fabrics, the same care, just in pocket-sized form.

Everything ships from Taupō, beautifully wrapped, ready to be loved.
